2007 END OF SEASON PARTY / PRESENTATION NIGHT
The 2007 end of
season party will take place on Saturday 13th October in the
club. Events include BBQ, Disco & live music from local Rock

RECORD WIN
In the heat of the afternoon Northleach Town
1st XI recorded a massive win, by 258 runs, over Oxford Rescue, with Neil
Ferreira starring with an unbeaten 156 with the bat as The Rams amassed 339.
Phil Webb claimed 4 wickets and Andrew Wellman with 3 bowled out Oxford
Rescue for 81. More...

6 RUN WIN
The first XI beat Britwell Salome away on
Saturday in a tight game. The fine batting of Josh Barrett, ably supported
by good knocks from Glen Crompton, Ceri John and John Robson saw the 'leach
score 191 ... a very good score on this wicket.
The Britwell reply was always behind the run rate, with Captain Dickie
Hemming claiming the prize wicket of Bernard Tyler for 21. Excellent bowling
by Crompton (3 for 27) and Mark Larner (3 for 26) saw the green & golds
close out the match, and claim 28 points for their travels.

9 WICKET WIN
The first XI beat Tetsworth 2nd XI convincingly yesterday
by bowling them out for 96 (Crompton: 8-3-9-7) and knocking them off for the
loss of only 1 wicket (Barrett, 57*). More... Many
thanks to all those that worked hard in the morning on the ground to ensure
that the game took place after the pitch on Friday night was under water.
2nd XI
The 2nd XI game away at Ashton Keynes was
cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch. |

Another good win for the 1st XI in difficult
conditions at Oxford Rescue. Man of the Match Mark Larner scored 53 and
bagged 3 wickets in a low scoring game.

The first XI secured a convincing 7 wicket
win against Britwell Salome yesterday in OCA Div 4, with an impressive 6
wicket haul from Glen Crompton and with the bat, a 44 from Neil Ferreira and
an unbeaten 58 from Richard Blundell.

The second XI won convincingly against
Poulton on Saturday with Jack Stevens (44) and Rich Hall (36*) starring with
the bat to get the home side to 194 - 8. Poulton were bowled out for 126
with wickets being taken by all the bowlers.

FRIENDLY WIN
A combined 1st and 2nd XI team secured a 83 run win over Shipton Under
Wychwood on a balmy April day at home on Saturday. In the 252 runs scored by
Northleach were Mark Larner (71), Richard Blundell (52) and Glen Crompton
(44). Shipton were bowled out for
169 with Richard Blundell (3-22) and Glen Crompton (3-2) starring with the

 CRICKETFORCE
'07 A successful weekend as part of the
ECB's CricketForce initiative now means that the club now has permanent
practice nets (just waiting for netting now!!) at the ground and lighting in
the Scout Hut. Also undertaken was painting of the Scout Hut (thank to Rich
Hall!!) and cutting / rolling of the square. A big thank you to everyone who
helped lend a hand. Photos from the weekend will be available on this

conjunction with The Sherborne Arms, Northleach this Easter Saturday
evening, where Rock Vocalist / Guitarist, Rick Chase will provide the live

OVERSEAS PLAYER
FOR 2007
 The
club is pleased to announce that it has secured the services of 19 year old
Australian, Josh Barrett for the 2007 season. Josh who hails from Melbourne,
Victoria is a right handed batsman and wicket-keeper and plays for
South Warrandyte Cricket Club 1st XI. He also
captained his district Under 21's side in 2005 & 2006. We wish Josh all the
best in his first season with NTCC. |

First XI secured the Division 1 title with a massive 206 run win against
Chedworth. Well done to all the 15 players that represented the team during
the season. The averages for the season have now been completed - well done
to Jordan Blackmore on winning the batting prize and Richard Blundell on
